About the Journal

As an open-access journal, JWB (ISSN:2588-3526) founded by Dr Morteza Naderi at Arak University in 2017 and is indexed in Scopus and Web of Sciences (ESCI) (IF=0.7), covers a wide range of topics, from various fields of biodiversity research, life sciences, earth sciences, molecular biology and genetics, wildlife ecology, and biology to different aspects of biodiversity conservation. JWB is a university-based journal devoted to the publication of high-quality papers on all aspects of biological diversity. Recently we have been assigned an Impact Factor from Web of Science equal to 0.7. From June 2023 all ESCI journals also have IF and it is not necessary to be listed in the JCR list. Exploring Common Diseases among Wild Animals and Humans and Wildlife Welfare

Dear Wildlife and Biodiversity Community,

We are pleased to announce a special issue of the Journal of Wildlife and Biodiversity dedicated to the exploration of common diseases shared between wild animals and humans. This special issue aims to bring together cutting-edge research and insights into the intersection of wildlife and human health, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration.

Scope of the Special Issue: We invite submissions of original research articles, reviews, and case studies that address various aspects of diseases affecting both wild animals and humans. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Zoonotic transmission and emerging infectious diseases
  • Comparative medicine and cross-species health investigations
  • Wildlife conservation and public health implications
  • Ecological factors influencing disease dynamics
  • One Health approach to address shared health challenges
  • Wildlife Health and Welfare
  • Wild animal welfare

Submission Guidelines: Authors are invited to submit their manuscripts through the submission system, following the standard submission process. All submitted papers will undergo a rigorous peer-review process. All papers should follow the author's guidelines.

Important Dates:

  • Manuscript Submission Deadline: 31  February 2024
  • Notification of Acceptance: 15 March 2024
  • Special Issue Publication: 31 March 2024
